Introducing yourself online is so awkward, but I'll try my best!
I'm Amanda Soesbee, a native of Huntersville, NC and an alumnus of North Meck. I started my university career at Appalachian State but came home to finish at UNC-Charlotte after learning what I already suspected about myself...I could not tolerate the cold! I graduated magna cum laude from UNCC with a BA in English, a minor in Philosophy, and a teaching certificate. 2014-2015 will mark my 17th year teaching; the first four were at Central Cabarrus and the remaining at my alma mater. I live on my family's farm in Huntersville with my two spoiled dogs. In my spare time, I am an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. My favorite color is pink, my favorite author is Stephen King, my favorite musician is Prince, and my favorite TV show is "Criminal Minds." Though I'm not an athlete, I think everyone should be allowed to take the month of March off of work so we can concentrate on college basketball (GO HEELS!). I love welcoming new opinions and ideas into my classroom and my life, and the one thing I cannot tolerate in the world is ignorance.
If I've left anything out, please ask!
